I’m Rabi Siddique, a Software Engineer at one of the leading and versatile startups in the Pakistan tourism industry, called Manaky.

The word Manaky is of Maori origin, which means to support, give hospitality, show respect, generosity, and care for others. Manaky itself is a marketplace inspiring people to explore the culture of Pakistan and its creativity.

I’ve recommended Manaky to family, friends, and travelers alike, but I still get questions from people who seem dubious of the whole concept, so today I thought I’d write about my experiences using Manaky and why I love it.

  • Social benefit — As a host, depending on your market and your proximity to attractions and special events, you can attract guests from all over the country or even the entire world!
Gaining perspective from another individual from a different walk of life is insightful. You get to realize how different, yet how similar everyone is. Manaky is helping create friendships that would have never existed, and very few social platforms allow you to create a personal and meaningful connection with someone who lives 10,000 miles away.
  • Financial benefit — Now financial gain is not a guarantee, but if you operate correctly, you could walk away with a handsome amount of cash. As a host, you get a chance to earn extra money.
Some hosts become super hosts and have the potential to earn more via providing their experiences to enlighten others and sharing more i.e. their favorite coffee place, the best time to go to the Malam Jabba, etc.
  • Personal growth benefit — If you are not in the hospitality industry, then you will be flexing mental muscles that you have never used. Learning guest service, finance, marketing, and more will ultimately make you a better person. These skills are essential in nearly every business, but with Manaky, you get to learn and implement them with a proven system.
As you learn new ways to impress your guests, you can take that creativity to your personal life. Leaving notes for your guests when they arrive is a great idea to make a quick personal connection. Now, what if you did the same for a friend or family member? The impact of that message, even if a simple hello, will be amplified.

And no I am not promoting Manaky. My love for Manaky excites me to talk and share more about them.
